Job description

We're hiring a Data Entry Specialist / Administrative Support to help keep our data clean, organized, and up to date as we scale operations ahead of public launch.

Summary
  • Flexible Title: Can tailor to reflect your skills & experience.
  • Flexible Time: Can do full-time, part-time, side-gig (off-hours), or fractional (contract).
  • Flexible Commitment: Can do short-term, long-term, or intermittent.

Why so flexible? We're a FUNDED startup racing toward launch. Feel free to jump in, help us ship, then bounce >> or stick around. A successful launch translates into lots of permanent jobs for those that want them. We're also interested in long-term "side gig" relationships, if that's what you're into—in our experience, a few expert hours often beat full-time learning-curve hours.

About Us

We're a credible, funded, remote-first startup backed by a growing team. We're pre-launch and moving fast.

About The Role

We have data coming in from multiple sources — leads, contacts, research, partnerships — and we need someone who can keep it accurate, organized, and current. This is detail-oriented work: entering data into spreadsheets and systems, cleaning up duplicates and errors, verifying information, and making sure nothing gets lost.

If you're the kind of person who notices when a phone number has one too many digits or a name is misspelled, you'll thrive here. The work is straightforward but important — bad data costs us time and money, and you're the person who prevents that.

Compensation

Up to $50,000 max total annual compensation; cash and equity components to be negotiated. Given the flexible commitment model, comp will be structured accordingly — fractional or hourly arrangements welcome.

What You'll Do in Your First 7 Days
  • You've gotten access to our systems and understand how our data is structured
  • You've completed your first batch of data entry and cleanup tasks
  • You've flagged any inconsistencies or gaps you noticed in existing data
  • You've attended your first team check-in and understand how work gets assigned
  • The team knows who you are, why you're here, and how you'll work together
What You'll Do Ongoing
  • Enter and update data — input new records into spreadsheets, CRMs, and databases accurately and on time
  • Clean and deduplicate — spot and fix errors, merge duplicates, and keep data consistent across systems
  • Verify information — cross-check records against source materials to make sure everything is accurate
  • Organize files and records — maintain folder structures, naming conventions, and document organization
  • Support the team — handle light administrative tasks as needed: scheduling, formatting documents, pulling reports
What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • Fast and accurate typist — you can enter data quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Detail-oriented — you catch errors that others miss
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel) and basic data tools
  • Reliable and consistent — you show up, do the work, and meet deadlines
  • Can work independently without constant supervision

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Airtable, or similar)
  • Previous data entry, admin, or virtual assistant experience
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
What You're NOT
  • Not an analyst — you're entering and organizing data, not building reports or dashboards
  • Not an IT role — you don't need technical skills beyond spreadsheets and basic tools
  • Not a customer-facing role — your work is behind the scenes keeping things clean
