Position Overview

Coast Abilities Mental and Behavioral Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors for full-time remote positions based in Stockton, California. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing flexibility and comfort in your work setting. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and psychologists, committed to delivering holistic and integrated care. While you can manage your time from the convenience of your own space, you will remain actively engaged with colleagues through virtual meetings and collaborative patient care efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify client needs and devise tailored treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to provide individual, couple, and family counseling.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups designed to cultivate community and foster discussion around prevalent mental health issues.
  • Work closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care, maintaining a seamless approach to treatment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support, equipping clients with immediate assistance during mental health emergencies.
  • Deliver educational resources regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower clients.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in case consultations and participate in regular team meetings to share insights and develop collective approaches to client care.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to conduct evaluations and craft personalized treatment strategies.
  • Experience in individual and group therapy settings with varied populations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective patient interactions.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical practices and professional boundaries.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience within a community mental health setting, particularly working remotely.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems and therapy documentation best practices.
  • Experience employing group therapy and psychoeducational techniques.
