Network Engineer
The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable global organizations and users to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need a network engineer like you who knows how to craft the exact network the DoD needs.
As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll work with a program management office to provide network architecture design and system operational support to other systems, establish requirements, develop and evaluate technical solutions and architecture designs, and perform solutions analyses. You will analyze the design of an enterprise migration and implementation plan for data centers, remote access connections, cross-domain solutions, and network ports, protocols, and services configurations while meeting current network requirements. You'll collaborate with SMEs in cybersecurity, engineering, quality assurance, and operations to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements. You'll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to share your experience with enterprise network design and configuration while broadening your network engineering work. Join us as we help our client provide a dedicated enterprise system for geographically separated units worldwide, supporting critical national and global security missions.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience with hands-on configuration of network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Experience delivering network engineering artifacts such as network templates, configuration guides, and network diagrams
  • Knowledge of security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs
  • Ability to design, architect, and implement highly available AWS network infrastructures using VPCs, subnets, gateways, security groups, and ACLs for secure, mission-critical workloads
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Cisco Certified Network Certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with software-defined networking
  • Experience with network automation
  • Experience with Network Access Control solutions such as Forescout or Cisco ISE
  • Experience with networking tools, including SolarWinds

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
