Position Summary
The OT Product Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, application support, and product solutions for SCADA and control systems. This role involves working closely with clients, sales teams, and product development teams to ensure the successful implementation and operation of SCADA and control products. The engineer will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and application to post-installation support and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Application
โ€ข Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for SCADA and control products.
โ€ข Assist clients and sales teams in understanding product capabilities and applications.
โ€ข Conduct site visits to assess client needs and provide customized solutions.
โ€ข Develop and deliver product demonstrations and presentations.
Product Development and Optimization
โ€ข Collaborate with product development teams to enhance product features and capabilities.
โ€ข Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements.
โ€ข Participate in product testing and validation to ensure high-quality performance.
โ€ข Provide input on product roadmaps and development priorities.
Training and Documentation
โ€ข Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on SCADA and control products.
โ€ข Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
โ€ข Conduct webinars and workshops to educate clients on best practices and new features.
Data Analysis and Reporting
โ€ข Analyze product data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
โ€ข Generate regular performance reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
โ€ข Implement data-driven strategies to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
โ€ข Minimum of 3 years of experience in SCADA and control systems application or related fields.
โ€ข Proven experience in providing technical support and application engineering for SCADA products.
Technical Skills
โ€ข Proficient in SCADA software (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware) and control systems.
โ€ข Strong understanding of control system architecture and integration.
โ€ข Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
โ€ข Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
