Your Role & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Sales Development Representative role supports Brenntag's growing data center initiative by driving outbound engagement across the U.S. and Canada. This position is responsible for identifying and connecting with all relevant parties involved in new data center construction projects-including end users (owners), construction firms, equipment suppliers, and other key influencers and decision-makers. The primary objective is to uncover product opportunities and generate qualified leads for outside sales teams.
Job Description:
  • Proactively engage with prospects via phone, email, and digital platforms to promote Brenntag's products and services.
  • Qualify inbound leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, and other sources.
  • Research and document new data center projects, identifying involved companies and key decision-makers.
  • Assess the scope of each opportunity by product category and record details in Salesforce.
  • Track outreach activities to ensure timely follow-up and lead progression.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute outbound mass marketing campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Work closely with outside sales and specification teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay current on data center industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Meet or exceed minimum outbound engagement and pipeline entry targets as established by management.
  • Utilize Salesforce to enter call summaries, track opportunities, and manage lead flow.
  • Represent Brenntag at trade shows and industry events as needed.

Your Profile
Education and Experience:
  • Strong communication, research, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in business development, sales, or customer engagement, preferably in industrial, construction, or technology sectors may be beneficial
  • Familiarity with the data center industry is a plus.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and lead qualification.
