Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Go) - AI Resilience & Security Enhancements (Contract) based in Netherlands.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Go), you will contribute to high-impact initiatives focused on strengthening the security, resilience, and reliability of a modern cloud-native platform. In this contract role, you'll design and deliver production-ready capabilities that enhance system security while supporting the evolution of AI governance, software supply chain protection, and platform resilience. Working within a fully remote, collaborative engineering environment, you'll partner with software engineers, platform specialists, and security experts to build scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly into the software development lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity to solve complex technical challenges using modern cloud technologies while making a lasting impact on mission-critical infrastructure.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions using Go within a distributed, cloud-native architecture.
  • Build and enhance platform capabilities focused on API security, cryptographic controls, AI governance, software supply chain security, and automated security tooling.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, platform, and security teams to implement resilient solutions that improve the security posture of production systems.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of distributed systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational resilience.
  • Develop production-ready services that integrate with modern cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code principles, automated testing, pair programming, and continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Take ownership of technical initiatives from design through deployment, supporting successful production releases and long-term maintainability.
  • Share technical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Strong professional experience developing software with Go, alongside a pragmatic approach to selecting the most appropriate technologies.
  • Proven expertise designing and building distributed systems within cloud-native environments.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, as well as Kubernetes and containerized microservices.
  • Solid understanding of software security concepts, including API security, cryptography, AI governance, secure software supply chains, or related security engineering practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps or SecDevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Terraform, GitHub, Elasticsearch, Vault, NATS JetStream, CockroachDB, Prometheus, Flux, Pact.io, or similar modern engineering tools.
  • Strong commitment to software engineering best practices, including test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), code quality, and maintainability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in distributed, remote-first teams.
  • Ability to independently own technical projects from implementation through production deployment and operational support.
Benefits
  • Fully remote contract opportunity with a collaborative international engineering team.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure and security-focused engineering initiatives.
  • Exposure to modern technologies, distributed systems, and AI resilience projects.
  • Flexible remote working environment with a strong engineering culture centered on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Access to modern development tools, cloud platforms, and security technologies.
  • Opportunity to contribute to large-scale, mission-critical systems with real-world impact.
  • Inclusive and diverse working environment that values equal opportunity and accessibility throughout the recruitment process.
  • Structured interview process designed to assess both technical expertise and collaboration skills.
