Position Overview
As the Aerospace Sales Specialist, you are responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving sales relationships with distributors, end users, and other customers across Nevada, California, Arizona, and New Mexico, with a specialized focus on the aerospace and space industries. You'll manage customer projects, partner with distributors, identify new sales and product opportunities, handle customer relations, and respond to requests for information.
You'll work closely with design engineers on the future of aerospace and space vehicles, including helicopters, rockets, and airplanes, providing customized work holding products. You'll pursue new opportunities with aerospace and space manufacturers as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
In this role, you will partner with internal teams, including Customer Service, Engineering, and Production, while handling distributor and customer inquiries. You'll team up with the Agriculture Off-Road Equipment Sales Specialist, other Regional Sales Managers, and the Global Sales Manager on specific customers and projects or initiatives. You'll also train, educate, and coach distributors and distributor sales representatives on the Carr Lane product line, including applications across industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Carr Lane at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events
  • Partner with distributors to grow sales in your territory
  • Identify new business opportunities in your territory
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers in North America to identify new business opportunities in the aerospace and space industries
  • Grow your knowledge in the future of aerospace and space and research trends and product development
  • Manage customer projects in coordination with Engineering and Production
  • Train and coach distributor sales representatives on Carr Lane products and applications
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver presentations
  • Track results and prepare metrics
  • Domestic and international travel, 50–75% as needed

Qualifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience
  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and understand a blueprint
Preferred:
  • Prior project management experience
  • Experience in the aerospace and/or space industries
  • Familiarity with Carr Lane products and applications, or experience with tooling components
  • Experience working in an ERP system
