WorkForce Software QA Analyst (Time Clocks & Timekeeping)

Job Summary:

Next Generation, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced WorkForce Software QA Analyst with expertise in workforce management testing, timekeeping systems, and time clock validation. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of WorkForce Software implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations, with a primary focus on employee time collection devices and timekeeping functionality.

The ideal candidate will have experience testing WorkForce Software solutions, validating time clock integrations, analyzing timekeeping data, and supporting end-to-end quality assurance efforts. This remote role may require occasional travel to client sites to support testing activities and project delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for WorkForce Software implementations and enhancements.

Validate timekeeping functionality including physical time clocks, biometric devices, badge readers, web clocks, and mobile clocking solutions.

Validate time clock configuration against defined business requirements, and support test coverage for clock build activities, device provisioning, and site deployment/rollout plans.

Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.

Test employee punches, schedules, pay rules, attendance policies, exceptions, and accrual processing.

Validate integrations between WorkForce Software, payroll systems, HR systems, and time collection devices.

Identify, document, track, and support resolution of system defects and issues.

Analyze timekeeping and attendance data to ensure accurate processing and compliance with business requirements.

Collaborate with business analysts, consultants, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage.

Support software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes through all testing phases.

Validate compliance with labor regulations, union agreements, overtime rules, and company policies.

Document testing results and contribute to quality assurance best practices.

Participate in client meetings and provide recommendations regarding testing strategies and quality improvements.

Stay current with WorkForce Software functionality, releases, and workforce management industry trends.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

3+ years of experience testing WorkForce Software solutions.

Experience with workforce management, timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling systems.

Hands-on experience validating time clock integrations and employee time collection processes.

Experience validating time clock configuration requirements, build activities, device provisioning, and deployment/rollout readiness for WFS or comparable timekeeping platforms.

Experience creating and executing detailed test plans and test scripts.

Strong understanding of workforce management concepts including pay rules, schedules, attendance policies, and labor compliance requirements.

Experience with defect tracking, issue resolution, and test documentation.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with WorkForce Software Time & Attendance implementations.

Experience testing integrations between WorkForce Software and payroll or HRIS platforms.

Familiarity with physical time clocks, biometric devices, and workforce time collection technologies.

Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or other testing tools.

Familiarity with SQL and data validation techniques.

Experience working within Agile project environments.

WorkForce Software certification(s) or equivalent workforce management experience.

Prior consulting experience supporting enterprise clients.

Job Benefits:
