We are Lockheed Martin
The F-35 Program is looking for world class talent to help manage and lead software development teams within the Combat Systems Ground Systems Mission Data Team located in Fort Worth, Texas. We are looking for an experienced software manager to help lead and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the software field to develop solutions to complex problems within F-35.
The candidate selected will be responsible for leading agile teams consisting of LM Aero software engineers working on the F-35 Common Reprogramming Tools (CRT) product. Responsibilities also include coordinating employee work assignments, program staffing, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, selection and training, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The selected candidate must have the ability to think outside the box and make recommendations and decisions on project schedules to avoid cost overruns and missed scheduled commitments. They will apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle and ensures software standards are met.
Candidate must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit a proactive, problem solving, cost conscious and company-focused mindset. The selected candidate must have presentation skills and have the proven ability to communicate at all levels (internally/externally) and create/execute a plan in a challenging and quickly changing environment while also helping to drive change in an organization by promoting the use of automated toolsets within our daily operations.
