Job description

Position Summary

Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on time, within established timelines, and within scope of the contract. Ensures work performed follows Federal, State, and Local legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Responsible for developing and following consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes. Drives effective project results to gain high Customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do As A Project Manager I, Software Integration
  • Owns responsibility for project delivery by cross-functional teams composed of Software Integration Engineers, Support Specialists, Integration Lead Installers, and Field Service Technicians.
  • Develop project schedules and executes according to plan.
  • Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of team directives and scheduling changes.
  • Manages time and resource estimate and enforces time tracking.
  • Reviews and interprets contract Terms and Conditions, and Scope of Work documentation.
  • Develop and execute detailed technical project management plans outlining tasks, milestones, and deadlines which are delivered and negotiated with Customer IT, Technical and Clinical Teams.
  • Analyzes reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicates project progress, issues and status to management as required.
  • Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation.
  • Ensures project document controls comply with contract requirements and STERIS standards.
  • Oversees project specifications and installation techniques.
  • Coordinates with the Manager, Software Service Delivery and Local Service Team for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives.
  • Ensures any tasks performed by the team are in accordance with established standards. Facilitates reporting product related problems.
  • Assists sales in project development efforts.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business/Project Management or related field. Or Associates Degree with equivalent work-related experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of direct project management experience in related industry.
  • Software Project Management certification is preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in hospital, OR integration, or information systems. O.R. video integration technologies and/or surgical background are highly preferred.
  • Experience with hospital technologies, including HL7, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) integration, Active Directory and LDAP are highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills
  • High degree of technical aptitude and multi-tasking capability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments and influence decision making across the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, with track record of successfully prioritizing multiple projects
  • Complex problem-solving situations involving multiple projects, customers and field sales priorities.
  • Must resolve disputes and manage complex tradeoffs to maximize customer satisfaction and profit.
  • Self-motivated, acts independently, manages priorities and takes the initiative in problem solving and decision making
  • Must make quick decisions without constant guidance.

Pay range for this opportunity is $90,737.50 to $105,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
