**About the Role**Uber Reserve Shopping Experience Team is responsible for building new rider experience features for Reserve booking funnel, and driving growth for Reserve trips. The Engineering Manager II would be responsible for leading a full stack team of 8-10 engineers at various levels to define technical strategy, driving engineering excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to solve complex business problems at scale.**What the Candidate Will Do**- Setting and refining the engineering vision for this team and collaborating with product management to build best in class systems- Building, mentoring and managing a strong and high-impact team- Managing a team of backend engineers working on highly complex and distributed systems like Matching, Driver Pricing, Fares- Collaborating with stakeholders in other teams like Dispatch Core and Dispatch Experience to grow Reserve Product- Set a strong engineering culture with a focus on quality, engineering fundamentals and architecture to scale.**Basic Qualifications**- 9+ years of overall experience and 4+ years of experience managing teams. Experience in managing 10 or more engineers across different levels.- Experience working with product managers and other engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and solve problems- Experience going through the full software cycle of requirements, design, coding/testing, rollout/deploy best practices in delivering world-class software and services.- Strong people management skills including growing and mentoring engineers and tech leads.**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience leading full stack teams - Mobile and BE- Experience working with product and design teams on creating vision for growing engagement and overall business.For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$232,000 per year - USD$258,000 per year.You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp
