Furthermore, this role involves advising leadership and the technology team on project progress and enhancement opportunities.   • Ability to communicate at all management levels within an organization, including internal, customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Ability to communicate with outside vendors and their technical teams to create shared solutions for business problems.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST and other healthcare data security standards. Document architecture, workflows and implementation guides for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
  • Five years of software engineering experience.
  • Two years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance setting, preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the Healthcare or Claims Adjudication space.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Direct experience in the healthcare finance field, especially in the management of self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.
  • Experience with Surescripts RTPC, ePrescriber, and Touchless PA across internal and client-facing platforms.
  • Familiarity with NCPDP Script, X12, and other pharmacy-related standards.
  • Experience with Mirth Connect, Redox, or InterSystems HealthShare.
  • Familiarity with EHR Systems and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
  • Working knowledge of MediSpan drug data

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibility.

Travel

This position may require minimal travel (1% - 5%) from their remote location.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
  • Full-time, salary/exempt position.
  • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We cover clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.
