Job description

About Kiddie Kredit
Our startup has raised a pre-seed round and is looking to hire engineers for exciting, unique projects. As an early member of the engineering team you will have input on decisions and a lot of potential impact.
This position is fully remote and available to anyone within 3 hours of US EST time zone.
Our Team
Our team is an all-star cast composed of a CEO who has won multiple pitch competitions and been accepted into several accelerators, a CMO who has developed several web properties with millions of users each, and a CTO who was a team lead at AWS and has experience building systems that can stand up to 40 million requests per hour.
Our Product
We are a B2B2C platform and have some very powerful strategic partners. Our most exciting opportunities involve our partnerships with Equifax and YMCA Atlanta in order to add business-level integrations to our consumer app.
Our Stack
MongoDB Atlas, Node, React, React Native, identity with Auth0, JavaScript, Typescript, and AWS. Heavily using infrastructure as code.
Job Qualifications
- You are able to work full time, within 3 hours of US EST time zone.
- At least 3 years of experience as a paid software engineer working at a company where the primary product is software, or working at a software development agency. This is not negotiable.
- Deep knowledge of Javascript
- Understanding of http and server technologies
- Knowledge of ReactJS
- Computer Science background
- Excellent written English, and basic conversational English (our CTO speaks Spanish but we want code written in English and we want to be able to communicate in English during team meetings)
The ideal candidate
The skill we value and need the most is the ability to understand product requirements and translate them into working code while aligning with business goals. When the product team asks for something in a two month timeline that would take over a year to build, you should be able to push back and negotiate. You should be able to ask questions like
* How do we solve this customer need and validate our assumptions without building all this custom software?
* Is there a pre-existing saas we can use in order to implement this whole subsystem?
* Can we get rid of this feature entirely?
The day-to-day of the job
At a high level, you will be the chief system designer, provide mentorship to other devs, and be the bridge between product requirements and the business team.
