As part of a detox center, you will be working alongside a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists, creating a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. You will engage in regular virtual meetings and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless support for all patients.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' emotional, social, and financial needs while collaborating with medical teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions focusing on areas such as adjustment to health conditions, grief, and coping strategies amidst detoxification challenges.
• Coordinate post-discharge services by connecting patients with community resources, ensuring they receive continuing support and care.
• Participate actively in discussions with interdisciplinary teams, contributing your expertise to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction within the detox environment.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and organizational policies, ensuring that all patient interactions are reflective of their care journey.

This position primarily focuses on individuals undergoing detox and rehabilitation from substance use disorders. As part of the detox center, you will engage with patients facing complex emotional challenges related to addiction. Your work will encompass providing crucial emotional support during their recovery process and ensuring that families receive the resources and guidance they need to navigate this challenging time.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required to ensure comprehensive psychosocial understanding and therapeutic competence.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada is essential for practice.
• Strong knowledge of addiction and mental health issues, medical terminology, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as collaboration with healthcare professionals and building rapport with patients is critical in our setting.

While experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is preferred, we value a variety of backgrounds that support our mission. Two years of documented experience in social work, particularly with substance use disorders, would be advantageous. Familiarity with community resources in Reno will aid in effective care coordination, especially in post-treatment scenarios.
