WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Write and adapt standards-aligned Social Studies curriculum for grades K-5. You'll create engaging lesson plans, assessments, and student materials that foster civic understanding and historical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Write and adapt Social Studies curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers

  • Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Social Studies instruction

  • Revise materials based on client feedback

  • Support development of professional learning materials for teachers

  • Apply knowledge of current trends in Social Studies education

  • Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Bachelor's degree in history, social studies, education, or related field

  • Familiarity with AI tools and comfort learning new software platforms

  • Strong familiarity with the US K-12 education system preferred

  • Excellent writing skills required, educational writing experience preferred

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Commitment to educational equity

  • Comfort with project management tools and deadlines

  • Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion
