Harborview Sleep Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator/Scheduler.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Day Shift
  • Mondays- Fridays/8:00am-4:30pm
  • On-Site/No Telework

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Located in the Patricia Steel Building at Harborview Medical Center, the UW Medicine Sleep Center provides multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and follow-up consultation services for patients with suspected or diagnosed sleep-related problems. Our medical, surgical, and therapeutic interventions cover the full spectrum of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome/periodic limb movement disorder and circadian rhythm abnormalities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages referrals from various departments/divisions and schedules: sleep clinic visits (new and return) and sleep study appointments in a complete and timely manner. Special attention is required for urgent and pre-operative studies so as to schedule these patients prior to surgery.
  • Pre-authorization and contacting insurance carriers as required. Provide patients with explanation of coverage and co-payments.
  • Obtaining outside medical records.
  • Contact/interface with various Durable Medical Equipment companies to arrange for delivery of ordered supplies and equipment.
  • Manage Provider templates and schedules via EPIC application.
  • Manage, review and respond to EPIC In Basket messages in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary clinical staff from HMC and outside facilities, patients and caregivers.
  • Coordinate and schedule follow-up sleep study appointments.
  • Other assigned duties

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
