• Conduct thorough preliminary evaluations through telehealth platforms, ensuring accurate documentation of each client's journey from the initial consultation to the completion of their treatment.
• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, adapting therapeutic approaches based on individual circumstances.
• Design and implement personalized treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, offering guidance that promotes healing and fosters personal growth.
• Monitor and document client progress through a comprehensive electronic health record system like AVATAR, identifying milestones and revising treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Proactively follow up with clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care and a seamless transition back to outpatient treatment.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, techniques for managing stress, and coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.
• Identify and address maladaptive behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing support to encourage positive change.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Delmont Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals coping with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these individuals towards healthier coping mechanisms and improved emotional well-being, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Successful completion and passing of relevant exams, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record systems, ideally experience with AVATAR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• In-depth understanding of current trends in mental health treatment and therapy practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• At least two years of experience in a clinical counseling role, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing complex psychological issues, such as addiction disorders and co-occurring physical health conditions.
• A history of successful collaborative work with healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Knowledge of pharmacotherapy and its implications in mental health care.
