This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to create your own hours while contributing to our hospice center's mission. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of hospice patients.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing patient well-being.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation that adheres to regulatory standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Engage in regular consultations with a multidisciplinary treatment team to devise and adjust care strategies.
• Educate and support patients and their families about emotional health, coping mechanisms, and available resources.
• Stay informed on current mental health research and treatment methodologies to continuously improve care practices.

You will primarily work with clients in a hospice setting, providing crucial support during a vulnerable time in their lives. Our patient population encompasses individuals facing terminal illnesses, providing a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their emotional and psychological comfort as well as that of their families. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be instrumental in helping these clients navigate their complex feelings and fears.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with hospice care or similar populations.
• Proficiency in solution-focused counseling and trauma-informed therapy interventions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to empathetically engage clients and families.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to assess client needs effectively.
• A collaborative spirit with the capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working with end-of-life care or in hospice settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of current best practices in mental health interventions specific to trauma care.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
