Job description


As a Global Business Development Manager, Data Centers here at Solstice, you will serve as the primary technical and commercial bridge between Solstice and the world's most influential technology architects. You will be responsible for positioning our advanced low-GWP refrigerant portfolio and thermal solutions as the gold standard for next-generation chipset and facility cooling.
In this role, you will drive long-term adoption of Solstice technology by embedding solutions into the future roadmaps of hyperscalers and leading chip designers, influencing next-generation data center thermal strategies.
You will report directly to our Global Strategic Marketing Manager, Data Centers, and you will work out of our Sunnyvale or Remote location on a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture deep technical relationships with thermal management teams and hardware architects at major hyperscalers and semiconductor companies
  • Act as a subject matter expert to advocate for HFO-based cooling technologies (e.g., two-phase direct-to-chip) versus traditional cooling methods
  • Identify early-stage hardware design cycles and ensure Solstice thermal solutions are designed into future chip architectures
  • Provide strategic "outside-in" market insights to guide internal roadmap development (3-5 year horizon)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Marketing and R&D to develop white papers, case studies, and performance benchmarks
  • Represent Solstice in global industry bodies (e.g., OCP, ASHRAE) to influence data center cooling standards
  • Translate complex thermal and chemical performance data into compelling business value propositions for stakeholders

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 10+ years in the data center or semiconductor ecosystem
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of heat flux, phase change, dielectric properties, and advanced cooling technologies (liquid or two-phase cooling preferred)
  • Commercial Skills: Proven ability to navigate complex organizations and build broad stakeholder relationships without a direct sales quota
  • Strategic Experience: Background in strategic marketing, business development, or product management with a focus on long-term market development
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical data into clear and compelling messaging
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to represent the company at global industry forums and customer sites
  • Operational Conditions: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly technical, cross-functional environment

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is $131,895K - $189,304K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive eligible.
