Job description

Shift 1 (United States of America)

In this Equipment Shipping Associate opportunity, you will support safe, accurate, and efficient shipping and receiving operations that keep production and customer deliveries on track. You will join Coperion FHN, a Hillenbrand company, at our Whitewater, Wisconsin facility. We design and support advanced processing and materials handling solutions for food, health, and nutrition applications. Your work helps ensure materials and finished equipment are inspected, packaged, and shipped correctly while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Location: Whitewater, Wisconsin

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • You unload trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes and inspect received goods for quality and quantity.
  • You prepare and package equipment and materials using prefabricated cartons, custom-built wooden crates, skids, or pallets to ensure safe shipment.
  • You generate packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documentation for outbound orders.
  • You coordinate shipping logistics, including arranging truck transportation and UPS shipments.
  • You update computer systems and shipping records to maintain accurate tracking and inventory data.
  • You support lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, to maintain an organized, efficient workspace.
  • You follow ISO 9001 standards, work instructions, and safety procedures consistently.

TEAM:

  • You work closely with receiving, shipping, warehouse, and operations teammates in a collaborative, safety-driven environment. Your attention to detail and reliability help the team WIN AS ONE while supporting Coperion FHN's operational commitments.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with six months to one year of shipping and receiving experience.
  • Basic computer skills for shipping systems, documentation, and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes with training; certification is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and make sound, day-to-day decisions.
  • Dependable work habits and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Construction or crate-building experience is helpful but not required.
