Job Description
$7,500 Hiring Bonus!
Under supervision, performs and inspects preventive maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery. This is a position that requires the ability to constantly learn new skills for maintaining and repairing Robotic equipment in an ever-changing field of expertise. Must possess ability to apply pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical principles to all equipment in the Freezers. Employee will be expected to read blueprints and schematics also. All work is located in a fast paced, highly demanding environment. Employee must be able to work and function safely at heights in excess of 120' feet and in -20 degree temperatures.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Sprinkler System- Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with the Sprinkler System. This will include Sprinkler heads, all piping, and valves located in Chase Way.
  • Hi-Rise- Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with the Hi-Rise system. This will include all (11) eleven Cranes, HK Roller conveyors, North inbound/outbound conveyor systems, Product Code Scanners, and Pallet Sizers.
  • HK 7 aisle and 4 aisle Crane systems- Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with the Crane systems. This will include diagnosing mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test systems and technical publications for area of responsibility.
  • Robotics- With assistance as needed, troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with the Kuka Robots. This will include the Trunk Lines, all pallet conveyors, product conveyors, Spirals, and Sealers/Wrappers. Assist Process Controls with modifications and creation of PAL files.
  • Intecs- Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with both Intec 1 and Intec 2. This will include in-feed tracks/conveyors, carousel conveyors, South Track Room auto-taggers and wrappers, Palletizer auto-tagger and the wrapper. Must assist Process Controls with any modifications or upgrades on the Palletizer. Will also be responsible for out-feed conveyors from both Intecs.
  • Coordinates with supply, production and other engineering personnel activities to improve procedures and resolve problems. Coordinate maintenance plans to meet operational commitments. Review maintenance data collection summaries to determine trends and production effectiveness. Active participant in learning continuous improvement basics and recommends improvements as identified.
  • Dock and Load-out areas- Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance and overhaul all equipment associated with the Dock and Load-out areas. This will include all Dock Locks, Dock Plates, overhead doors, Racking System, walk through doors, and Dock Levelers. Employee must have the ability to performing welding tasks as needed throughout entire area of responsibility.
  • With assistance as needed is responsible for replacement and set-up of High Frequency Drives on all Robotic, Crane, Intec, and Palletizer systems. This will include trouble shooting and repair of High Frequency Drives.

Pay: Starting rate for Tech 1 is $36.00/hr. This position also includes skill progression potential with top rate of pay at $38.26/hr at Tech 5. Night shift will receive an additional $1.50/hr for night shift differential.
Shift/Hours: Nights. Approximate shift starts time between 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM. Normal shift length of 10-12 hours.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED, journeyman's license, or 2-year degree preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience is essential. Previous electrical and maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Emerging understanding of concepts and applications of mechanics. Must pass the written assessment of Electric Tech 1.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings including P&ID drawings.
