Job description

SQL Server DBA

Length: 3 month contract

Location: Brooklyn, OH (Remote or Hybrid)

Shift/ Hours Mon- Fri 8-5 (EST Time Zone)

On call/ rotation: No

Job Description:

  • Provide DBA support for SQL Server upgrade project
  • Install and configure new SQL Server 2019 database systems.
  • Support SQL database upgrade and migration activities.

Day to Day:

  • Support assigned projects and meet project targets on time unless variances are approved. Deliver Service for supported areas within SLAs.
  • Ensure database and related software is kept current or on supported levels, is recoverable, and adheres to standards and best practices.
  • Deliver and support high quality database platforms and processes that meet availability, capacity and performance requirements to support the business.

Required Skill & Technologies:

  • 5+ years experience required as SQL Server DBA, supporting versions 2012 thru 2019.
  • Experience with installing, maintaining and upgrading SQL Server within VMWare virtualized environment.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSIS, SSRS and database monitoring tools.

Any nice to haves:

  • Microsoft SQL Server Certification preferred.
  • Experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn for high availability.
  • Experience with SQL Server replication for copying and distributing data.
