Senior Business Program Lead (Phoenix, AZ)

As an Employee Planning Sr Program Lead, you will play a pivotal role by working with our team to enhance our client and advisor experience through the development of new programs, tools and processes. This high visibility role will collaborate across the Edelman Financial Engines organization to ensure the Engagement Center/CDT organization is equipped to provide our clients a best-in-class experience.   

Candidates with experience in Senior Program Manager, Program Lead, or Strategic Program Management roles are encouraged to apply, as this position was previously structured and titled as a Senior Program Manager opportunity.

For this Program Manager role, we are seeking a candidate with the desire to lead critical programs, solve problems and help make our business run as efficiently as possible. Responsibilities:

The Sr Program Lead will work closely with Employee Planning leadership, Product & Technology, Business Intelligence, IT support, Marketing and company leadership to develop and implement the strategy for the EC/CDT organization, which in turn will allow us to effectively implement the corporate vision. This includes, driving the technology needs/tools, acting as liaison to internal partners, provide direct advisor feedback to RM/AM partners and being a conduit for client feedback to improve the experiences we deliver.  

  • Represent the EC/CDT organization through project lifecycles, including engagement with P&T, project scope, testing requirements, impact to advisor process, training requirements, client experience, etc...
  • Accountable for consistently communicating all current project details to Employee Planning leadership
  • Collaborate with Employee Planning leadership to support strategic planning, initiative prioritization, and roadmap development
  • Drive execution against Employee Planning business objectives while monitoring progress toward key performance indicators
  • Support leadership operating rhythms through business reviews, initiative governance, action tracking, and executive follow-up
  • Identify and escalate strategic risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, drive execution, and achieve Employee Planning business objectives
  • Identify actionable insights and recommend initiatives to improve Employee Planning performance
  • Create visibility and confidence in project status and timelines
  • Deliver reporting and data analytics support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience working in a cross-functional role, preferably specializing in program and/or project management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and a strong acumen with PowerPoint
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-ready recommendations and action plans.
  • Proven success influencing stakeholders, building alignment, and driving results in complex cross-functional environments
  • High detail orientation with the ability to see the big picture as well as remain client focused
  • Strong critical thinking, creative problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional and remote teams, at all levels of the organization, both internally and with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; able to prioritize and manage many simultaneous tasks and priorities in a timely manner
  • Very strong work ethic and flexibility to support the organization and adapt to shifting priorities in the business
  • Willingness to adhere to established processes internally and cross-functionally while keeping an eye for opportunities to improve or develop processes, structures, and systems

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $84,000- $112,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
