This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work life while providing critical mental health services to elderly clients from the comfort of their homes. Our telehealth facility leverages sophisticated technology to ensure seamless consultations and counseling sessions, enabling you to connect with clients effectively and efficiently. Your work schedule will typically be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a structured yet adaptable work environment.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique emotional and psychological needs of elderly residents.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on emotional challenges associated with aging, such as grief, loss, and family transitions.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the diverse needs of geriatric clients.
• Educate senior patients, their families, and caregiving staff on effective strategies to enhance emotional well-being and navigate the aging process.
• Lead grief and loss counseling initiatives for residents and their families, providing compassionate support during difficult end-of-life transitions.
• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and targeted mental health interventions aimed at promoting mental acuity and overall quality of life among elderly individuals.

This role is specifically focused on geriatric patients, which includes older adults coping with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, cognitive decline, and adjustment issues. You will primarily work with individuals facing significant life changes, health-related concerns, and emotional distress, emphasizing the importance of culturally sensitive and empathetic care tailored to their unique experiences and backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in geriatric mental health counseling and support.
• Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health, diagnostics, and evidence-based interventions is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to provide effective counseling services to elderly individuals facing diverse mental health challenges.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards pertaining to geriatric mental health counseling.
• Proven capability to conduct thorough assessments and craft personalized treatment strategies.

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 65,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus. Our compensation package also includes:
