Job description

About us

Sōvyn is an award-winning marketing and communications agency on a fast-paced journey that is growing and leading healthcare communications. We provide marketing and PR services for top healthcare technology and life sciences companies around the world. Our experts are renowned for moving minds and driving a better healthcare ecosystem for all.

You are a technical architect of organic growth. You understand that modern SEO is no longer just about keywords, it’s about authority, intent, and navigating the shift from traditional search engines to AI driven discovery. You combine a data-driven mindset with a high level strategic approach to content planning.

Summary

We are growing and looking for a team member who treats data integrity as non-negotiable and translates complex analytics into clear, actionable roadmaps for our project management team. In this role, you aren't just checking boxes, you are architecting the SEO / GEO strategies that our team uses to win. You are proactive, enthusiastic about the evolution of search, and confident in your ability to prove ROI through meticulous reporting.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Advanced Keyword Research: Conduct deep dive keyword research to identify high value opportunities, prioritizing search intent and semantic relevance to fuel the transition from traditional search to AEO / GEO environments.
  • SEO Architecture: Develop and execute sophisticated topic clusters and pillar strategies to establish deep topical authority for our agency’s clients.
  • Authority & Ecosystem Awareness: Maintain a high level understanding of backlink profiles and Domain Rating (DR). You will be responsible for supporting the off site strategy and identifying authority gaps to ensure the content you architect has the necessary power to rank against competitors.
  • Topic Planning: Manage the full lifecycle of SEO topic planning, from initial keyword research to post publish performance analysis.
  • Content Outlining: Create high level, technical SEO article outlines that direct our writing team. You define the "what" and "why," ensuring every piece of content is optimized for both users and AI engines/LLMs.
  • SEO Audit: Auditing client websites for areas of improvement.
  • Search Evolution: Lead the internal transition from traditional SEO to AEO/GEO, ensuring our strategies account for prompt based search behavior.
  • Off-Site SEO Execution: Support the execution of off-site authority building activities, including link building outreach, guest posting, digital PR campaigns, and journalist/media query responses. The specific mix of activities will vary by client and program, but the throughline is the same: building the external signals that give our on-site content the authority it needs to perform.
  • Social & Content Distribution: Contribute to social media content efforts tied to SEO and content strategy, including organic LinkedIn management for clients and other distribution channels as needed. This isn't social media for its own sake; it's an extension of the content ecosystem we build for clients.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Own the backend reporting process. You ensure total data accuracy and distill raw metrics into high impact insights that help project managers communicate value to clients.
  • Internal Collaboration: Serve as the technical SEO lead for Project Managers, providing the data and strategy they need to manage client expectations and drive growth, which can include a multitude of tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of dedicated SEO and digital strategy experience.
  • Strategic Expertise: Mastery of keyword research, cluster/pillar modeling, and advanced SEO topic planning.
  • Technical Content Blueprinting: A proven ability to bridge the gap between SEO intent and editorial execution by creating high fidelity outlines that serve as the roadmap for top tier organic performance.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional data/analytic skills with a must have ability to take decisive action from insights.
  • Team Synergy: Ability to work independently as a specialist while being a proactive support system for the project management team.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing the technical SEO needs of multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Must-have experience
  • Advanced SEO Tools: Mastery of Ahrefs (or similar) and Google Search Console.
  • Data Integrity & Impact Analytics: High proficiency in GA4 and Google Looker Studio with a relentless focus on data accuracy. You must possess the analytical depth to distinguish between vanity metrics and KPIs that drive actual business growth, ensuring every report delivers actionable intelligence rather than fluff.
  • Authority Management: Proven experience analyzing Domain Rating (DR) and backlink profiles to inform strategy. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of how to manage and direct off site strategies that move the needle, ensuring content plans are supported by the necessary domain authority to compete in high stakes search environments.
  • Future Search Fluency: Hands on understanding of how to optimize for AI generated search results (AEO/GEO) and conversational queries.
  • Content Systems: Proven experience building SEO led content workflows and detailed, data backed article outlines.
  • Professional Communication: Exceptional written and interpersonal skills to effectively brief internal teams and project managers.
Pluses
  • SaaS/Healthcare industry knowledge and/or previous roles with a SaaS/healthcare-focused organization
  • Website management, page, and landing page creation with a focus on SEO architecture, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
  • Basic HTML or equivalent web language
