This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Billing Proofreader to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, Anchorage, San Francisco, or Los Angeles offices.
This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices.
This position is responsible for proofreading billing invoices and memos as well as coordinating corrections with billing specialists, and other tasks as assigned.

On a typical day you will:
  • Proofread and edit final billing invoices before attorneys/secretaries send to clients
  • Maintain ability to meet billing cycle deadlines
  • Review time entries for consistency with firm timekeeping style guide
  • Review invoices to confirm that attorney edits have been made correctly on the final invoice
  • Convert and distribute PDF invoices quickly and accurately
  • Mail and/or email invoices to clients
  • Maintain and independently manage a spreadsheet of attorney and client preferences
  • Maintain all monthly paper and electronic filing pertaining to invoicing and handle records storage
  • Alternate posting of cash with the billing specialists
  • Backup billing specialist when needed
  • Provide assistance on various projects to billing specialists and supervisor, as needed

  • Associate's Degree Certificate in Editing, preferred
  • Accurate keyboard skills and familiarity with accounting software (preferably Aderant Expert) and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $69,000 to $74,000 ($35.38 to $37.95 hourly).Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
California
The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $67,000 to $73,000 ($34.36 to $37.44 hourly); and in San Francisco is $77,000 to $83,000 ($39.49 to $42.56 hourly).
