Job description

Position Description
Proton Technologies, Inc., an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with strong server, hybrid cloud, and networking experience. This role will support both escalated service requests (Level 2-3) and assist our Cloud Migration and Projects teams with Azure environment work, hybrid domain configurations, and infrastructure deployments.
This position is ideal for an engineer who can confidently navigate Azure AD / Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and cloud migration workflows-and who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment.
Primary responsibilities:
- Prioritize, work, and resolve Level 2-3 tickets in the Engineering Ticket Queue
- Serve as an escalation point for complex server, cloud, and network-related issues
- Support cloud migration efforts, including Azure AD/Entra ID configurations, hybrid domain join environments, and server-to-cloud transitions
- Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related services
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, access points, VPNs, VLANs, and routing
- Evaluate customer systems and networks to identify performance bottlenecks and lead remediation efforts
- Participate in the planning and deployment of new infrastructure, including servers, cloud resources, and network hardware
- Ensure high availability and reliability of client network and system resources

Requirements
Must have 5 years of industry experience with at least 2 years in a MSP environment; Seasoned in Exchange Management / Server Management / Service Migrations / Virtual Machines; Server Knowledge and Experience - Active Directory / Replication / DNS / Group Policy / IIS Services; Network Experience - Firewall Management / Routing / Security Policies / NAT Translation / Port Forwarding / VPN Management / VLANs / VPN / DNS / DHCP / Diagnostics and Logging; Cisco Networking Experience - Cisco Routing Protocols / Command Line Interface; Experience Managing / Setup of Microsoft 365 and GSuite; Familiarity with Microsoft Servers lineup of products Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server; Comfortable with VoIP Applications and Management and AWS deployments; Ability to solve complex problems in a faced paced environment and diligently follow through to resolution
