SEIS is seeking an IT Project Manager I to support a high-profile Fortune 50 Public Sector customer. This role is responsible for managing small-to-medium IT projects and supporting larger strategic initiatives focused on automation, visibility, and process optimization across complex, multi-step IT and telecommunications workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical project management skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to translate business and operational needs into actionable direction for software development teams.
This role requires hands-on ownership of assigned projects that span multiple systems, stakeholders, and service-level agreements (SLAs). The IT Project Manager I will work closely with business partners, engineers, analysts, and developers to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that improve delivery speed, accuracy, and customer outcomes. While this role may support larger initiatives led by senior project managers or program leadership, it is expected to independently manage assigned projects from initiation through delivery.
This is a full‐time, salaried, remote position with limited initial travel as required for onboarding or engagement kickoff.

Role and Responsibilities
IT Project Planning & Requirements Leadership
· Partner with business stakeholders, operational teams, and end users to gather and document functional, technical, and reporting requirements.
· Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
· Translate operational processes into clear project plans and implementation roadmaps.
· Identify risks, constraints, and SLA impacts early and develop mitigation strategies.
Project Execution, Tracking & Governance
· Manage cross-functional IT projects involving developers, business analysts, operations personnel, and external partners.
· Coordinate and prioritize development work across assigned projects.
· Track progress against milestones, budgets, schedules, and SLAs
· Proactively manage risks, issues, and scope changes.
· Facilitate recurring project status meetings and provide stakeholder updates using clear, data-driven reporting.
Automation & Solution Delivery
· Lead the implementation of automation, tracking, and reporting solutions across end-to-end service lifecycles for assigned projects.
· Work closely with software developers to clarify requirements, validate designs, and ensure solutions meet business and operational needs.
· Coordinate testing activities, including system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
· Ensure production releases are well planned, documented, and executed with minimal business disruption.
SLA, SLO, Performance & Continuous Improvement
· Monitor solution performance, operational metrics, and SLA/SLO adherence.
· Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and data visibility issues; recommend and prioritize enhancements.
· Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions for assigned projects.
· Support ongoing optimization, enhancements, and sustainment activities.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers for assigned projects.
· Translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused communication for non-technical audiences.
· Ensure project documentation, requirements, and decision logs are accurate, complete, and accessible.
· Build trusted relationships across teams and maintain a strong customer-focused mindset.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 2+ years of project management, project coordination, business analysis, or technical delivery experience in an IT environment.
· Experience supporting or managing software development, automation, or systems integration projects.
· Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
· Experience managing or supporting multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
· Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into actionable requirements.
· Proficiency with:
· Microsoft Office Suite
· SharePoint Online
· Project management and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project)
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting telecommunications, network services, or service delivery environments.
· Familiarity with process automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, workflow automation tools, APIs).
· Experience working in SLA-driven operational environments.
· Project management certifications such as CAPM, CSM, PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
· Strong customer-centric mindset with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.
· Proven ability to lead initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
· High attention to detail and comfort working in complex, regulated environments.
