Senior Solution Architect

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to help us support our continued growth. The Sr Solution Architect is responsible for owning the overall design of the technical solution as well as recommending best practice solutions based on client needs. In this role, you will own the end-to-end technical strategy and architectural vision for complex enterprise ecosystems centered on the Salesforce platform and broader SaaS integrations. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical executionโ€”leading high-stakes discovery sessions, crafting scalable cross-cloud architectures, and guiding delivery teams toward operational excellence. As a senior leader, you will play a key role in presales solutioning, mentoring junior architects and engineers, and defining best practices that drive long-term client success.
Please note that this role will require regular onsite work at our client's location in Austin, TX.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Own the overarching technical design for enterprise-grade solutions across Salesforce (Sales, Service, Revenue Cloud/CPQ, Experience Cloud, Industry Clouds) and integrated SaaS/ERP platforms.
  • Architect and design Partner Relationship Management product
  • Delivers technical and non-technical documentation for assigned projects, with relevant architecture diagrams (data models, high-level architecture, integration architecture, etc.)
  • Responsible for overall solution design, build task development, estimating effort to complete build tasks and oversight of reporting/dashboard creation and UAT.
  • Familiarity with the difference between declarative and programmatic development, partner applications (i.e. Conga, DocuSign, AccountingSeed, etc), and general AppExchange products and when it is appropriate to use each in relation to customer requirements.
  • Evaluate declaratives vs. custom programmatic solutions (Apex, LWC), off-the-shelf AppExchange products, and custom integrations to balance cost, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform Salesforce.com administration/configuration/data migration duties as needed
  • Works effectively individually and with Coastal team members and client members toward customer satisfaction and success
  • Act as a solution SME, working with Delivery leadership and Account Executives to accurately scope sales proposals
  • Partner with Project Managers to encourage a collaborative environment with delivery and customer project teams.
  • Seeks opportunities to develop professional and technical skills, while also providing guidance and support to Coastal team members for technical and professional growth
  • Achieves and maintains necessary Salesforce technical certifications and Salesforce partner certifications
Experience/Skills Required:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience designing and implementing Salesforce-centric enterprise solutions in a consulting or agency environment.\
  • 3+ years in a dedicated Senior Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or Principal Consultant role leading multi-cloud implementations.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce PRM (Partner Relationship Management)
  • Deep mastery of core Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service) along with hands-on expertise in at least two specialized domains (e.g., CPQ, Field Service, Data Cloud, Industry Clouds).
  • Applied knowledge of Salesforce and the Sales, Services, and Marketing functions
  • Required: Salesforce System Architect or Application Architect track (or equivalent combined credentials including Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Integration/Data Architecture certifications). Minimum 5โ€“6x certified.
  • Additional Salesforce.com cloud knowledge specific to industry/verticals (Nonprofit Cloud, Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, CPQ, Field Service, etc.) preferred
  • Previous experience with software development life cycle (SLDC), Agile or Hybrid preferred
  • Ability to create entity relationship and object relationship diagrams to demonstrate design concepts and tools
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience being client-facing and/or acting as an internal project leader and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to develop practical solutions and methodologies on the Salesforce platform
  • Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
