As Head of Sales & Client Engagement at Just Sales Jobs, you will lead our client-facing function and sell specialized recruitment engagements to companies that need to fill sales roles. You will respond to opportunities generated by our internal marketing, conduct discovery meetings, build customized Sales Hiring Strategies, present recommendations, and close new client engagements. Your buyers are business owners, presidents, VPs and Directors of Sales, and HR leaders across a wide range of industries in Canada and the United States. This is a senior, hands-on individual-contributor role – not a sales-management or team-leadership position. It is designed for an experienced sales leader who wants to step out of managing a team and back into self-managing, hands-on selling and consulting. The role is predominantly new business development, with ongoing account management and repeat-business development. It is a newly created position, currently managed by the CEO, reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the leadership team. This is a fully remote, work-from-home role, with a preference for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area or surrounding areas. The first-year compensation guarantee is $120,000 – $135,000 CAD, plus uncapped performance-based compensation.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY

•   Head office: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

•   Work arrangement: Fully remote / work from home; preference for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area or surrounding areas

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

•   Approximately 12 to 20 years of progressive B2B sales experience

•   At least 5 years of direct sales leadership experience

•   A record of personally generating and closing new business

•   Direct experience hiring, selecting, onboarding, coaching, and developing salespeople

•   Experience selling professional services, consulting, training, technology services, or another intangible, trust-based solution

•   Experience conducting discovery meetings with senior decision-makers and presenting recommendations, strategies, or proposals

•   Experience managing client relationships after the initial sale and developing repeat business within existing accounts

•   Experience advising on sales compensation, offers, or hiring decisions, and participating in offer-stage or commercial negotiations

•   Exposure to multiple industries, business models, sales processes, products, services, or customer types

•   Experience managing a sales CRM such as Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar is required

•   Completion of meaningful formal sales training, with the ability to demonstrate a structured, repeatable methodology (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, SPIN, Miller Heiman, Force Management, Winning by Design, ValueSelling, Richardson, or similar)

•   Strong written communication and presentation-development skills

•   Ability to work independently and remain highly productive in a fully remote environment

•   Recruitment or staffing-industry experience is not required – the Just Sales Jobs methodology, processes, systems, and terminology can be taught

TECHNICAL SKILLS

•   CRM software – experience managing a sales CRM such as Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar is required, to manage leads, opportunities, follow-up, and forecasting (Advanced)

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES

On a typical day you will respond quickly to new marketing-generated inquiries, conduct introductory and discovery calls, develop and present customized Sales Hiring Strategies, follow up persistently to advance opportunities, close new engagements, and coordinate agreements and retainers. You will prepare recruiters for client kickoffs, lead Virtual Client Visits, stay involved with active searches, advise clients on compensation and offer structure, and develop repeat business – while keeping the CRM and applicant tracking system accurate and your documentation complete.

LEADS

•   The majority of prospective client opportunities are company-generated through internal marketing efforts – primarily warm, inbound inquiries

•   Reconnecting with previous clients, reactivating dormant opportunities, and developing repeat business within existing accounts

•   Minimal cold prospecting – the core expectation is fast, disciplined, and relentless follow-up on supplied opportunities until a clear decision is reached

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL

SUPPORT & TRAINING

•   Structured onboarding into a function currently managed by the CEO, with direct mentoring from the CEO and leadership team
