This remote position offers a flexible work schedule that prioritizes work-life balance. Counselors will engage with clients primarily through our telehealth platform during standard business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. • Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and impact on daily activities.
• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote healing and self-awareness in clients.
• Provide clients and their families with education regarding mood disorders, treatment pathways, and effective self-care techniques to empower them on their journeys to mental wellness.
• Regularly monitor client progress, using objective measures to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Maintain seamless communication and coordination with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest methodologies in treating mood disorders, attending relevant training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to foster collaborative learning and best practices among staff.
• Actively advocate for clients, working to destigmatize mood disorders and promote mental health awareness within the community.

The primary focus of this role will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, who come from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. As a Counselor, you will work closely with clients facing challenges that may include chronic depression, anxiety disorders, and the complexities of bipolar disorder. Your efforts will not only help in treating their symptoms but also empower clients to gain insights and skills that promote long-term wellness.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited program.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in California.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders such as CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to implement them effectively.
• A solid foundation in psychopharmacology to facilitate meaningful collaboration with psychiatrists and other care providers.
• A track record of achieving positive client outcomes in managing mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting or familiarity with digital health platforms.
• Previous involvement in advocacy or community outreach related to mental health awareness.
• Training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities.
