This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced telecommunications sales leader to drive our commercial strategy and revenue growth within the telecommunications sector. This role will lead our engagement with global telecommunications providers, mobile network operators, internet service providers, and infrastructure companies to address their needs through Blue Origin's advanced connectivity solutions that complement and extend terrestrial networks.

This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of global telecommunications while working at the intersection of space technology and next-generation connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from early engagement through contract close
  • Own commercial strategy and revenue growth for telecommunications carriers, ISPs, and network operators
  • Establish and nurture C-level relationships with key decision makers at target telecom accounts
  • Create compelling value propositions that address challenges of global coverage, bandwidth expansion, and network resilience
  • Identify where terrestrial infrastructure constraints create opportunities for complementary technologies
  • Develop annual sales plans with detailed account strategies, pipeline forecasts, and revenue targets
  • Partner with product and solutions teams to integrate offerings into carrier networks

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of telecommunications industry experience with 5+ years in sales leadership roles
  • Proven track record selling network services, connectivity solutions, or infrastructure to telecommunications providers
  • Deep understanding of telecommunications business models, network operations, and industry trends
  • Experience with global telecommunications markets and international carrier relationships
  • Deep experience with terrestrial network infrastructure including fiber backbones, mobile backhaul, and last-mile solutions
  • Understanding of telecommunications capacity planning and network expansion challenges
  • Strong background in solution selling and consultative sales methodologies
  • Excellent executive presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in technical field or MBA preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to customer locations

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of how non-terrestrial networks can complement traditional telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience with terrestrial/non-terrestrial network integration or hybrid connectivity solutions
  • Knowledge of network architecture, wholesale telecommunications, and backhaul solutions
  • Background in selling connectivity solutions for rural/remote markets or emerging regions
  • Understanding of telecommunications regulatory environment across multiple countries
  • Experience with 5G networks, IoT connectivity, or emerging communications standards

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25 WA applicants is $169,624.00 - $237,473.25

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
