We are seeking an Admissions Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to move from a retail to office environment for those who are willing to learn.

Pharmacy Technician experience and/or knowledge of working in a pharmacy is a strong preference.

This is  a remote position

Applicants may reside anywhere within the Continental USA however, you must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 11:30am -8:00pm Pacific Time

Responsibilities
  • Insures completion of necessary information from entry sheet and medication orders for data entry and account setup in AS400 system. Review and route documents through Docutrak system to appropriate department
  • Verifies payers and demographic information. Where applicable, fill in gaps in demographic information
  • Works with internal and external customers to resolve assigned accounts. Productivity records will be maintained
  • Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor in researching pharmacy accounts requiring special attention and taking all necessary action to ensure accuracy of data being entered
  • Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor and other members of the management team on special projects as needed
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Required: 1-year data entry experience
  • Desired: 1-year billing and/or collections experience, or 1-year experience in the healthcare industry
  • Required: 10-Key by touch, data entry, MS Excel and Word and basic computer knowledge
  • Desired: Benefits investigation knowledge
