Dual-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Remote

Job Type: Full-Time (W-2)

Location: Remote (California license required; additional active licenses in Texas, Florida, New York, and Virginia are highly preferred)

Schedule: Monday through Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join an innovative, fully remote practice focused on delivering comprehensive psychiatric care through an evidence-based, patient-centered approach. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults experiencing complex psychiatric conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a rapidly growing healthcare organization.

The ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-quality virtual psychiatric care, enjoys working in an evolving clinical environment, and is interested in integrating whole-person approaches into psychiatric treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.

  • Diagnose and treat adult patients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders, and other serious mental illnesses.

  • Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans using clinical assessments and laboratory data when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with physicians, registered dietitians, behavioral health professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

  • Participate in weekly clinical case discussions and interdisciplinary meetings.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical workflow enhancements.

  • Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based patient care.

Qualifications

  • Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) certification required.

  • Dual certification in Obesity Medicine is strongly preferred.

  • Active California NP license required.

  • Additional active licenses in Texas, Florida, New York, or Virginia are highly preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing as a certified PMHNP.

  • Previous telehealth or virtual psychiatric practice experience required.

  • Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Startup or early-stage healthcare experience is a plus.

  • Interest in integrative, metabolic, or lifestyle-focused psychiatry is highly desirable.
