- You will fulfill safety goals and objectives, carrying out program requirements for the proper implementation and functioning of all programs, policies, and directives.
- You outline administrative controls and provide guidance and assistance in controversial or unusual problems for active-duty personnel.

- You will ensure applicable manuals and procedures pertaining to airport safety are enforced.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
- You will be required to obtain the appropriate motor vehicle license in order to be able to traverse the air station/flight-line in the performance of duties.

QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
providing oversight and execution of an Aviation Accident Prevention Program providing technical advice staff regarding safety policies, practices, and procedures ensuring the safe operation of aviation activities.
