Brighter Tomorrow Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide remote therapy services to individuals in need. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate transitions of care for individuals moving from hospital or inpatient services, ensuring seamless communication with hospital staff to facilitate discharges and necessary program transfers.
  • Utilize crisis de-escalation skills to support clients during challenging moments, serving as the Clinician of the Day to provide milieu support and direction.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop safety plans tailored to each participant's unique needs, ensuring documentation is completed same-day for cases perceived to be at increased risk for crisis interactions.
  • File critical incident reports as needed within a 24-hour timeframe to maintain up-to-date and accurate participant records.
  • Be available for after-hours care coordination support on an alternating schedule, providing additional assistance as required.
  • Proactively work with participants to minimize reliance on crisis services by enhancing their coping skills and access to resources.
  • Maintain and update crisis alerts in collaboration with county crisis services, ensuring seamless support for participants requiring urgent interventions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the clinic and its participants, reflecting a team-oriented approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on serving individuals who may be experiencing mental health crises or challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. You will be expected to develop tailored care strategies that respect and honor each participant's individual journey towards recovery, while collaborating with community resources to enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, or PsyD) from an accredited program.
  • Possession of an independent license in the state where you reside, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while providing empathetic support to clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high caseload effectively while maintaining quality service delivery.
  • Proficiency in crisis management, including preemptive strategies to reduce incidents of crisis intervention.
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively, triage tasks effectively, and adapt approaches based on individual client needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 50,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
