Position Overview


We're seeking an experienced Presales Engineer / Solution Architect to serve as the technical bridge between our sales team, customers, and delivery organization. This role will help shape solutions that align to our Critical Services and strategic resale offerings-translating business risk into actionable, outcomes-driven architectures.

You will be responsible for presales solution development, customer presentations, technical discovery, proposal support, and early-stage advisory across cybersecurity domains. Ideal candidates have experience supporting a security VAR or services-led business and thrive in a consultative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Technical Solutioning & Design
    • Architect end-to-end cybersecurity and IT solutions across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity domains.
    • Align solutions with client business risk, compliance obligations, and operational constraints.
    • Translate customer challenges into scoped statements of work and technical deliverables.
  • Presales & Advisory Support
    • Collaborate with Account Executives on discovery calls, customer workshops, and RFP responses.
    • Conduct presales architecture assessments, security assessments and gap analyses to guide solution recommendations.
    • Create architecture diagrams, presentations, and ROI-based justifications for clients and partners.
  • Partner Collaboration
    • Engage directly with OEM and distributor partners (e.g., Abnormal Security, Broadcom ESG, CrowdStrike, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, etc.) to craft joint solutions and proposals.
    • Stay current on vendor programs, certifications, and emerging technologies relevant to Plurilock's portfolio.
  • Strategic Services Integration
    • Align presales motions with Critical Services-advisory, red/purple teaming, risk and compliance, and managed services.
    • Support margin mix improvement by positioning high-value services and multi-year support programs.
  • Enablement & Knowledge Sharing
    • Develop reusable solution templates, scoping tools, and knowledge base content.
    • Support enablement sessions for sales, partners, and clients.

Qualifications


Required:

  • 5-10 years' experience in cybersecurity solution engineering, presales, or architecture.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in one or more of the following:
    • Threat defense (EDR/XDR/SIEM/SOAR)
    • Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Zero Trust & IAM (SSO, MFA, PAM, AD/AzureAD)
    • Data protection / DLP / CASB
    • Risk and compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
  • Strong understanding of VAR and professional services delivery models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes for executives.

Preferred:

  • CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with service packaging and solution pricing.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-driven security tools and trends.
