.
What You Will Do
.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling and securing our Azure-based SaaS platform. You will be responsible for owning and evolving our CI/CD infrastructure, driving SRE best practices, and contributing to our FedRAMP compliance initiatives. This is a senior-level position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, and is deeply familiar with modern DevOps in the Azure cloud ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, secure, and scale our SaaS platform on Azure using services like AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and related services.
  • Lead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release engineering workflows using tools like Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Drive SRE principles across the organization, focusing on observability, incident response, availability, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute directly to our FedRAMP compliance readiness efforts, including secure configuration management, audit logging, documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support, including support during maintenance windows and participation in an on-call rotation during North American business hours.
  • Support ongoing capacity planning, cost optimization, and scaling efforts for key infrastructure services.
  • Maintain and improve production monitoring, alerting, and runbooks to ensure high reliability and rapid-incident response.
  • Participate in security, availability, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document operational processes, architectural decisions, and runbooks in a structured, trackable system (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
What You Bring To Forescout
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure Cloud and its native services (especially AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices architectures and serverless environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and managing cloud-native workloads.
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Deep experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC2, or other security/compliance frameworks (working experience on a FedRAMP-authorized environment is a strong plus).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and compliance teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in remote teams across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GitHub Actions/Workflows, and GitLab CI.
  • Experience with distributed databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis.
  • Exposure to security practices in SaaS environments (encryption, secret management, network hardening).
  • Familiarity with change management processes.
  • Relevant Azure certifications.
  • Prior experience contributing to or leading FedRAMP or other regulated compliance initiatives.
What Forescout Offers You
  • Competitive compensation and benefits - we cover 85% of employee and dependents' benefits premiums (US only), 401K match, generous PTO policy, and much more
