Description and Requirements
General Description: Provides expert technical support to clients and members of USI's Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams to analyze, design, market, price and place risks. Makes fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their most complex insurance issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, coaching and development to Casualty Analytics team.
  • Make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess clients' contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Recognize trends and create client-facing summaries modeling policy options.
  • Support Sales Executives in providing data and proposals for prospective clients.
  • risk profile using analytical models and resources.
  • Negotiate underwriting terms and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients.

  • Work closely with claims and risk control team to develop new loss control strategies, ideas and processes.
  • Take part in recruiting efforts and train new hires.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 3-5 years in a Commercial Lines agency with underwriting and technical experience. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred
  • Deep, technical knowledge of commercial insurance.

• Strong business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, but not required.
