Collections Analyst (Remote)

HungerRush

Houston, TX • Remote

Full-time

Posted 17 days ago

Job description

Who We Are

HungerRush is a leading provider of integrated restaurant technology solutions. HungerRush 360 is our flagship cloud POS system that makes it easier to delight guests, drive loyalty, and manage restaurants from anywhere. The all-in-one system integrates digital ordering (including AI-powered text and talk ordering), delivery management, customer engagement, restaurant management, and payment processing features with flexible software designed to give operators more insight into their customers, more control over their operations, and more power to profitably grow their business. Learn more at www.hungerrush.com.

Position Overview:

HungerRush is building a dedicated, proactive Order Management, Billing & AR organization moving away from reactive, manual billing operations toward a structured, technology-enabled quote-to-cash function. The Collections Analyst sits at the back of that pipeline: once an invoice is generated, this role owns getting it collected, applied, and reconciled cleanly. You'll work closely with the Billing Systems & Controls Analyst (who owns the systems and reporting side of the same pipeline stage) and report to the Manager, Collections & AR.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Own day-to-day collections and dunning for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Process cash application and support monthly AR reconciliation and close.
  • Process bank deposits across multiple accounts and reconcile against expected receipts.
  • Create and apply payments for alternative payment structures.
  • Manage customer communications related to early termination fees (ETF), including calculation questions and payment coordination.
  • Review and process customer credit requests in line with approval policy.
  • Escalate at-risk accounts and coordinate with third-party collections partners when internal efforts are exhausted.
  • Partner with the Billing Systems & Controls Analyst and Manager, Collections & AR on reconciliation issues and recurring dispute patterns.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Comfort working directly with customers on payment and billing conversations, including sensitive topics like early termination fees.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with day-to-day data review and account-level detail work.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to hold a firm but professional line with customers.

Preferred

  • Experience with subscription or SaaS billing models.
  • Experience with Salesforce, ZAB (Zone Advanced Billing), or High Radius/EIPP platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted productivity tools in a finance operations context.

What Success Looks Like

This role is part of a team held to a clear set of outcome metrics, reviewed periodically with the Director of Accounting Operations and Finance leadership. You'll have direct line of sight into how your day-to-day work moves those numbers.

Why HungerRush

You'll join a Finance & Accounting team that's actively modernizing how it works; investing in systems, automation, and clearer cross-functional ownership rather than reactive, manual process. This is a chance to help build a function from a clean structure rather than inherit years of undocumented workaround.

Additional Details

This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship, either now or in the future. At this time, and in the foreseeable future, HungerRush is not able to support assistance with additional visa sponsorship, regarding this specific position.
