Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our advanced technology team supporting critical national security missions. This role focuses on identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across space and weapons systems, ensuring secure and resilient architectures through comprehensive vulnerability assessments, testing, and risk analysis.

You will work alongside mission-focused experts in a dynamic environment, applying your expertise in systems security and threat mitigation to protect vital infrastructure from advanced threats.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform network and system scans to uncover potential security vulnerabilities

  • Conduct controlled testing of specified systems to identify weaknesses that may be exploited by malicious actors

  • Lead security assessments of complex systems and networks to detect breaches, misconfigurations, or architectural flaws

  • Evaluate and recommend mitigation strategies to reduce system risk and enhance security posture

  • Analyze vulnerabilities in space and weapons systems, including software, hardware, and communication layers

  • Document assessment results, risks, and recommendations for system improvements

  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission partners to ensure secure system designs

  • Support the development of threat models and system security plans (SSPs)


Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity, or vulnerability analysis

  • Experience performing vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and system assessments

  • Deep understanding of system and network architectures, particularly in space and weapons systems domains

  • Familiarity with cyber risk frameworks and mitigation methodologies
