Physician Connect Coordinator | Remote, Denver Metro Area
Reports to Physician Services Manager

Employment Type: Full Time. Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 9pm MST.
This position is fully remote in Colorado, but requires in-office training. Local CO candidates only.

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice composed of over 100 radiologists serving 10 hospitals across Colorado. We also provide diagnostic services for more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Hawaii.
RIA is committed to delivering the highest quality specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy, and associated medical care. We operate Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ), a network of 12 outpatient imaging centers located throughout South Denver and Colorado Springs - offering a wide range of exams using state-of-the-art equipment.

Summary of position:
Provides excellent customer service and support to our Radiologists, partner hospitals, and referring physicians through our RIA Physician Connect clinical call center. Resolves incoming inquiries in a thorough, efficient, and timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates calls between radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical staff

  • Conveys any STAT or pertinent critical findings to our referring physicians and partner hospitals on behalf of our radiologists and documents communication in patient reports

  • Facilitates Hold & Call/Read & Call workflow

  • Facilitates overread addendums for Cardiac MR & CT exams

  • Relays HeartFlow requests from Radiologists to CT departments in hospitals

  • Answers general questions around reporting and examinations (as appropriate and within HIPAA guidelines)

  • Problem solving for radiologists, partner hospitals and referring physicians

  • Quality check addendum reviews
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Clinically orientated role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Previous healthcare experience required; previous radiology experience preferred
  • Medical assistant or Radiology Tech experience preferred
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication with previous call center experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and type at least 40 wpm
  • Computer Software knowledge to include: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), RIS, PACS and VSDM
  • Team player but also able to work independently towards a common goal
  • Ability to multi-task in multiple systems
  • Ability to work with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with other team members, techs, providers, PACS administrators and other clinical staff regarding radiology exams and other technical components

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English

Compensation is estimated to be between $21.50 and $27.75 per hour depending on qualifications.

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associate’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will receive applications on an ongoing basis, and will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
