As an LCSW at Fresno Mental Therapy Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, needs, and strengths, which helps tailor interventions that align with their individual circumstances.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help clients manage and overcome challenges related to mental health disorders.
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses to ensure a holistic approach to mental health care, coordinating strategies and treatment plans for optimal client outcomes.
• Educating clients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management, fostering understanding and engagement in their care.
• Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities and resources tailored to specific client needs.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans in partnership with clients and the treatment team, reflecting collaboration on goals and personal preferences.
• Assisting clients in navigating the complexities of the mental health system, advocating for their rights, and connecting them with additional resources as necessary.
• Leading therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions, and participating actively in discharge planning meetings to optimize transitions from therapeutic settings.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that may include individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and various mood disorders. Your ability to build rapport and establish trust will be crucial in helping them access the support and tools they need to thrive.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.
• The ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment while advocating for client needs.

While not mandatory, additional experience that would enhance your candidacy includes:

• Previous experience providing teletherapy or remote mental health services, demonstrating adaptability in virtual settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) specific to mental health.
• Experience in community mental health settings, particularly in diverse urban environments.
