Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, establishing individualized therapy strategies for clients to address their unique needs.
• Create and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals, families, and groups, leveraging techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage actively in continuous professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest mental health research and therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive and effective client care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various demographics, including children, adolescents, families, and adults, tailoring your approach to meet each client's specific context and cultural background.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor license (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling environment, ideally working directly with diverse populations.
• A strong grasp of ethical and legal considerations in mental health practice.
