Who We're Looking For 

The Director, Marketing Technology & Activation leads the strategy, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise marketing technology solutions. This role bridges strategic advisory, solution architecture, and campaign activation, and ensures clients realize measurable business value from their marketing technology investments. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Technology, this leader oversees a team responsible for marketing automation, campaign activation, platform implementation and integration, and operational excellence. They serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guide complex solution design, and build scalable activation frameworks that improve efficiency, quality, and marketing performance. 

The ideal candidate combines deep marketing technology expertise with strong consulting skills, operational leadership, and a passion for building high-performing teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

Marketing Technology Strategy & Solution Leadership 

  • Lead the strategy and technical implementation approach for enterprise marketing technology engagements.  

  • Translate marketing and business objectives into scalable activation architectures across marketing automation, CRM, ABM, and customer engagement platforms.  

  • Design and govern marketing technology solutions that improve campaign effectiveness, operational efficiency, and data quality.  

  • Identify opportunities to modernize client technology ecosystems through automation, integration, and emerging platform capabilities.  

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders and teams to champion innovation by evaluating new technologies, AI capabilities, and evolving activation methodologies.  

Campaign Activation & Delivery Excellence 

  • Oversee successful implementation of multi-channel marketing programs across email, nurture, ABM, events, digital advertising, and web experiences.  

  • Support with the establishment of scalable campaign operations, QA standards, deployment processes, and governance models.  

  • Ensure activation teams consistently execute with speed, accuracy, and operational excellence.  

  • Support continuous improvement across activation workflows, documentation, and reusable implementation frameworks.  

Client Leadership 

  • Serve as senior advisor for Marketing Technology and Marketing Operations engagements.  

  • Lead discovery sessions, solution workshops, roadmap development, and technology recommendations.  

  • Present implementation strategies and architecture recommendations to senior stakeholders.  

  • Build trusted relationships with client Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, IT, and Marketing leadership teams. 

Team Leadership 

  • Lead and develop a team of Marketing Technology professionals responsible for platform implementation and campaign activation.  

  • Coach team members through solution design, technical consulting, and client leadership responsibilities.  

  • Build delivery capacity through mentoring, resource planning, and career development.  

  • Establish best practices, technical standards, and documentation that improve consistency across engagements.  

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.  

Business Development & Practice Growth 

  • Support Growth, Strategy, Marketing Technology & Operations and Client Leadership teams on new business pursuits.  

  • Scope implementation efforts, estimate delivery approaches, and contribute to proposals and solution presentations.  

  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.  

  • Contribute to development of new Marketing Technology service offerings, methodologies, accelerators, and thought leadership.  

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or Marketing Automation consulting.  

  • 3+ years leading teams in an agency, consulting, or enterprise environment.  

  • Deep expertise with enterprise marketing technology platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Demandbase, 6Sense, or similar.  

  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, HubSpot and MS Dynamics  

  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles, best practices and methodologies 

  • Experience designing scalable campaign operations and marketing automation programs.  

  • Familiarity with media and web analytics platforms such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, Influ2, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager  

  • Experience leading complex platform implementations, integrations, and operational transformation initiatives.  

  • Ability to translate business strategy into technical solutions and operational processes.  

  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.  

  • Experience contributing to business development, solution design, and proposal development.  

  • Agency or consulting experience strongly preferred.

We aim to offer competitive and fair compensation based on experience, location, and market benchmarks. The salary range for this role is $115,000 – $130,000. 
 
Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, and additional flexibility may be considered for candidates whose experience and expertise significantly exceed the role’s core requirements.
