About White Tiger Connections

We partner with small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States that are embracing the future of public accounting through flexible, technology-enabled work models. These firms are people-first, relationship-driven, and committed to developing meaningful career paths for CPAs with leadership potential. They rely on us to connect them with Tax Senior Managers who are ready to lead teams, drive client relationships, and make a measurable impact on firm growth.

Role Overview

As a Tax Senior Manager, you'll combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and business development capabilities to serve clients and mentor the next generation of tax professionals. You'll oversee complex tax engagements from start to finish, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and play a key role in firm operations and growth strategy in a modern, flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle tax review, signing, and client communication across a portfolio of individual and business engagements.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients — including individuals, business owners, and those who are both — bringing emotional intelligence, proactive tax planning insight, and professionalism to every interaction.

  • Handle a broad range of return types with primary focus on 1040, 1041, and 1065, with additional exposure to entity returns including 1120 and 1120S.

  • Provide mentorship and serve as a technical resource for junior staff on complex tax and entity concepts, while maintaining an active workload of assigned engagements.

  • Collaborate with firm Partners on tax planning strategies, research on complex issues, and special advisory projects.

  • Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law developments and communicate relevant changes to clients and internal teams.

Requirements
  • CPA license required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation or advanced degree preferred)

  • 7+ years of recent public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Experience supervising and developing professional staff at multiple levels

  • Strong client relationship management skills with a client-first service orientation

  • Demonstrated business development aptitude or interest in firm growth initiatives

  • Deep technical knowledge across a broad range of tax areas with strong research and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Benefits

Our clients typically provide:

  • Flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, or in-office, depending on the firm)

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus potential

  • Comprehensive benefits (health, dental, retirement savings)

  • Generous paid time off

  • A clear path toward Partner, with meaningful involvement in firm leadership and strategy
