About the Organization

New Horizon Behavioral Health Center stands out as a leader in providing comprehensive and evidence-based mental health services in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to empower individuals to overcome personal struggles and build resilience through high-quality therapeutic interventions. We prioritize a patient-centric approach, where each client's journey to improved well-being is cultivated through tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering personal growth.

Work Environment

As a member of our remote therapy team, you will engage in a modern and flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance. While you will work from the convenience of your home, you will consistently collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals. Regular video consultations, case reviews, and team meetings will ensure that you remain connected and supported while delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of clients through video teletherapy sessions, applying evidence-based practices to create customized treatment plans.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy in providing effective psycho-social interventions.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of patient privacy and care quality.
  • Participate in regular collaborative meetings with fellow clinicians to share insights, challenges, and success stories, thereby enhancing the quality of care offered to clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to participate actively in the healing process.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and trends in the mental health field to continually improve therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will center on supporting diverse adult clients who may be grappling with a wide range of mental health issues, particularly those who are experiencing significant emotional distress due to life transitions, such as end-of-life care scenarios associated with hospice settings. Engaging with clients facing these profound challenges requires a gentle and empathic approach tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active and valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado.
  • Ability to implement solution-focused psychotherapy techniques, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client for enhanced care outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients, enhancing the therapeutic relationship.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities that allow for effective problem-solving and intervention planning.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with clients in hospice or palliative care settings is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with a range of therapeutic techniques and a proven track record of resolving client issues effectively.
  • Comfortable with technology-based clinical tools for remote assessment and treatment delivery.
Compensation and Benefits

New Horizon Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Our robust benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance plansโ€”including medical, dental, and visionโ€”to support your overall well-being.
  • Life and disability insurance to provide financial security for you and your family.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for professional liability assurance.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program, offering support during personal or professional challenges.
  • Unlimited referrals in your client caseload, enabling you to work meaningfully with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Minimal documentation requirements, allowing you to devote more time to patient care.
