POSITION PURPOSE

The Manager, Prospect Research & Analytics provides donor and organization prospect research/analytics services to all regional health ministries (RHMs) across Trinity Health. Partners in system-wide initiatives such as Blackbaud Target Analytics, institutional market analysis, and wealth screening. Analyzes donor giving patterns, trends, and preferences. Performs in-depth prospect research on current and potential donors. Proactively and independently identifies and researches prospects and analyzes biographical, financial, or other data obtained from a variety of internal and external sources to determine capacity and inclination to give. Responsible for the entering, updating and maintenance of prospect research data in Trinity Health's shared donor data management system. Develops and produces prospect research reports and other prospect dashboard/metric data analytics, in furtherance of Trinity Health's fundraising efforts.

Interacts and collaborates with Regional Health Ministry's (RHMs) Foundation and Development Office colleagues regarding prospect research requests, data results. Provides valuable information to RHM Foundation & Development Office Colleagues to facilitate effective cultivation and solicitation of Annual, Major, Planned, and Principal Gift prospects. Present Job Aids and training sessions to keep Trinity Health Philanthropy colleagues apprised of market capacity, opportunities and best practices to assist in deploying data driven actions that help to generate production revenue.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Uses advanced research skills and a wide variety of organizational and financial sources (online database services, library and government websites, and other sources of public information) to collect, analyze, qualify, and disseminate information related to financial capacity and philanthropic tendencies of individuals, corporations and foundations in a way that maximizes its usefulness and enables accurate and educated decision-making in the development of fundraising strategies.

2. Maintains and updates prospect records in Trinity Health Philanthropy's shared national database in a timely manner.

3. Designs, develops, and produces custom reports, ad-hoc queries, and data exports to support Prospect Research. Ensures accuracy and completeness of reports and other documents. Collaborate with the RHMs and System Office team members to fulfill research requests.

4. Possesses a good understanding of software and various tools utilized in prospect research and related activities, their functionality, and is knowledgeable and adept in applying skills necessary to adopt and maintain best practices.

5. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships, providing excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers.

6. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions.

7. Adheres to the Code of Professional Fundraising Ethics, Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) Code of Ethics and the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Donor's Bill of Rights and fulfills all aspects of the Trinity Health standard Code of Conduct.

8. Maintains confidentiality of wealth screening processes and output results of donors/prospects.

9. Keeps current with HIPAA and Fundraising regulations and works to ensure compliance with all Protected Health Information (PHI) confidentiality requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Information Science, Library Science or related field is preferred.

2. At least three (3) years of previous experience in Fundraising Operations, specifically Prospect Research, is required. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a frontline fundraiser and a solid understanding of the donor solicitation cycle (Identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship). Healthcare or Higher Education fundraising experience is preferred.

3. Knowledge of and proficiency in the use and applications of industry standard data analytics and research tools is required. Such tools may include, but are not limited to: ResearchPoint, Lexis Nexis, CoreLogic, Larkspur, Hoovers, Guidestar, NOZA Search, Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp, Marquis Who'sWho, Refinitiv, Experian, ProPublica, Candid (formerly known as Foundation Directory Online), and various county deeds and other public websites.

4. Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of donor databases and Microsoft applications. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Blackbaud CRM are preferred.

5. Ability to independently perform and produce large-scale data mining, wealth screening, target analytics, and predictive statistical data models and present same in a manner that is clear, concise, and actionable in the furtherance of system-wide and Ministry specific fundraising initiatives.
