This remote role allows you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions in a comfortable environment, while still being part of a close-knit team dedicated to collaborative care. As a member of our outpatient office, you will utilize virtual platforms for therapy sessions, conducting assessments, and engaging in team consultations. We value work-life balance and offer a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately gauge the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing established diagnostic criteria.
• Collaborate with clients to create customized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and specific mental health needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their mood disorders effectively.
• Provide insight and education to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to promote sustainable recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, making necessary modifications to treatment plans in response to their evolving mental health needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure holistic care delivery.
• Stay current with research and developments in the mental health field, particularly in mood disorders, to enhance treatment methodologies.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to improve clinical skills and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and working toward the destigmatization of mood disorders in the community.

Our primary focus is on clients experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. We serve a diverse clientele, which requires sensitivity to various cultural backgrounds and individual experiences. As a mental health counselor, your understanding of these differences will be pivotal in providing effective therapeutic support tailored to each client's unique journey.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Strong foundational knowledge in evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly in treating mood disorders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside the ability to develop rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

While less than two years of post-licensure experience will be considered, candidates with at least two years of direct clinical experience focusing on mood disorders are preferred. Familiarity with psychopharmacology and effective collaboration with psychiatrists is a valuable asset, enhancing interdisciplinary team dynamics and providing comprehensive care for our clients.
