Job description

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Remote โ€“ offsite Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of quality assurance activities across the software development lifecycle to ensure product software and supporting infrastructure meet quality, reliability, and release-readiness standards
  • Develop and oversee test strategies, test plans, test cases, test data, and automated testing frameworks, while guiding QA team members in test execution, defect identification, and resolution tracking
  • Manage defect reporting, prioritization, root cause analysis, and quality metrics to support informed release decisions and continuous improvement
  • Drive the expansion of test automation and integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipeline tools, while maintaining clear test documentation, promoting QA best practices, and coordinating with development, product, and operations teams to improve overall delivery quality
  • Design and implement UI automation using tools such as Playwright, ensuring automated test coverage is reliable, maintainable, and aligned with release objectives
  • Conduct peer reviews of test automation code to promote quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering best practices
  • Communicate test execution results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during each release cycle
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Minimum of four (6) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development for enterprise systems
  • At least two (2) years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for AWS-based workloads
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience performing manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, issue reproduction, regression testing, and validation
  • Strong experience developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript, along with API testing, performance testing, Swagger, and Postman
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and integrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with AWS services such as Systems Manager and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency testing applications and workloads built with AWS services and technologies, including Vue.js, Python, Django, and Amazon S3
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including planning, testing, and supporting iterative software releases
  • Ability to test and validate workloads against AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and related quality standards
